The Quantitative Research Division specializes in validating and measuring product and brand opportunities for leading Pharmaceutical companies. Many of the projects we do relate to the creation of marketing and communication strategies to support the launch of new prescription medications. Increasingly, we are also conducting foundational research to help shape longer term strategies for our clients. Leveraging our unique ability to integrate leading edge qualitative research with leading edge quantitative research, you will consult to a broad range of in-sync clients providing strategic and tactical guidance based on fresh customer insights from customized quantitative research projects.
The Senior Strategist leads a wide range of quantitative projects in brand equity, positioning, market estimation and sizing, segmentation and choice modeling, representing to clients our reputation as a passionate partner who utilizes innovative methodological approaches and develops forward thinking marketing solutions that inspire our clients.
Major Responsbilities
Project Management
- Custom design of study in response to client brief, ensuring a clear, thorough understanding of client’s business or brand issues and pending decisions that are the catalyst for the project.
- Overall responsibility for survey design, sample frame, methodology, modality, analysis plan and debrief.
- Direct and/or support Senior Analyst in determining the analytics required to meet the client need.
- Leads the project team (Research Manager, Analyst) to ensure day-to-day project management, field work and tabulation is conducted on time and on budget.
- Crafting of verbal presentation and written debrief that persuasively shares key insights with clients and register them with impact.
- Presentation of key insights and recommendations to key client members.
- Throughout the project (from absorbing client challenge to recommendations), demonstrates an overall ability to inspire clients with in-sync thinking and apply unique human-centric perspective to interpretation of analyses.
Client Management
- Establish meaningful client relationships at a range of levels including senior management, i.e. Director of Marketing, Sr. /Executive V.P.’s. and secure an in-depth understanding of their ongoing business challenges and needs.
- With prospective and existing clients, proactively identify service and/or product opportunities (beyond projects) that can entrench client relationships, i.e. infiltration strategies.
- Participate in and/or spearhead the pitching of new in-sync clients.
- Write and/or contribute ideas to new business and/or competitive project proposals.
Building the Quantitative Practice
- Ensure that the quant group maintains and improves the high quality levels expected at in-sync.
- Coaching those around you to increase the skill and experience levels, establishing best practices and elevating offerings to ensure in-sync standards are met on a consistent basis.
- Identifying ways to increase our market differentiation through our unique human-centric approach to research that leverages our integrated qualitative and quantitative strengths.
- Develop new approaches or techniques that elevate the level of insight unearthed in projects.
Education and Experience
- A proven track record as a forward thinking quantitative researcher who has experience manipulating and analyzing data to tell great “stories” and create impact.
- A minimum of 8 years experience in a market research community, with a minimum of 5 years on the supplier side.
- Completion of an undergraduate university degree (minimum) with preference for but not limited to the disciplines of marketing, business, economics, psychology, or statistics.
- Experience across a range of quantitative methodologies, including online, in Canada, the US and globally, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience mentoring junior team members within a dynamic, high performance environment, enabling them to successfully lead projects.
